Appeal for Past Pupils

Dear past pupil,

I am sending an appeal and an invite to all our wonderful past pupils to come back and help us. We know that so many of you have achieved great success in many different careers over the years. We would love to have you back in the school to talk to our present students and give them your insight into careers, educational requirements, opportunities and advice. The date we have in mind (but not set) is Wed morning Nov 20th from 10.00 – 12.00.

Our idea is to organise an event, as part of college awareness week, where you might speak one to one, or in small groups to students here. This serves a twofold purpose. Our students will see from your good selves the benefits of ambition, education and hard work. And we get to meet many of you again and share a cuppa.

I’m delighted to report to you all that your old alma mater is going from strength to strength. Developing links with past pupils will only add to the ambition we all share for our students. So, whether you are from the era of Mr Hickey/Mr Shorten, Ms NicGearailt/Mr Kennedy or myself and Ms Horrigan we would truly love to hear from you.

Please contact us here in the school via email. d.maguire@donahiescs.ie or myself p.keohane@donahiescs.ie

Kind regards,
Peter Keohane (Principal)

Michelle Horrigan (Deputy Principal)

Denise Maguire (Career Guidance Counsellor)
