Drinkaware’s Parents’ Campaign

The purpose of the campaign is to encourage parents to have informed conversations with their children about alcohol at an early stage and to continue those conversations throughout the teenage years, with a view to increasing the age that young people have their first drink.  The purpose of our newly developed booklet is to support parents to have these informative,  timely discussions as well as  signposting parents to our website which will contain much more detailed information and advice, along with interactive videos for young people. We have recently received the results of commissioned research with parents, ‘Talking to Your Children About Alcohol’ and the results from this research will be used to inform future elements of the Parents' Campaign.
