A message from the Principal regarding the school reopening

A message from the Principal regarding the school reopening

Dear parent,

Let me begin by wishing you all a very happy new year. I know we are all absolutely hoping for a return to normality, and an end to the COVID19 pandemic at some stage during this year. In the meantime we plough on.

As I am sure you are aware by now we are scheduled to reopen as normal Thursday 6.1.22. Unquestionably, this will pose challenges. The reality of living with COVID obliges everyone to adhere to restrictions. This will lead to staff and students being absent. I am asking staff to stay at home in the event of displaying symptoms or close contact and ask parents to keep students at home where COVID restrictions also demand. But as always, we will do our very best.

We are beyond grateful to you all for your support and cooperation to date. Students attend each day and are simply getting on with what they are being asked to do. Until this all passes, and as this variant is particularly infectious, we ask for your support again to ensure we maintain the safest possible environment for everyone. Mask wearing, hand sanitising and social distancing will be required. A zero tolerance to any behaviour that will impact on this will be in place.

Can I remind you all too at this stage to download the school app if you haven’t already done it. It will be the way we will communicate from now on. All school information/communication/policies are available on app.
