Our Journey into the Jean Monnet Programme Begins (Flag Raising)

We are proud to mark the beginning of our school’s journey into the Jean Monnet Programme, an initiative that promotes teaching and learning about the European Union.

Our first event of the academic year was a special ceremony celebrating our commitment to European values and collaboration, the European Union Flag Raising event.

During this event, we proudly raised the European Union flag in two prominent locations:

  • Inside the school entrance, outside the Principal’s office, where it is now permanently displayed alongside the Irish flag

  • Outside the school on the flagpole, where it flies alongside both the Irish flag and the Pride flag

This visible display reflects our school’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, and European cooperation.

As part of the ceremony, we also unveiled our Erasmus+ Accreditation certificate, awarded through Léargas in recognition of our participation in European mobility projects.

This accreditation represents an exciting opportunity for our students and staff to engage in international learning experiences, develop intercultural understanding, and build lasting partnerships across Europe.
